A fortress with centuries of history

This fortress, located in the province of Soria, has its origins in the tenth century, when an Arab tower was built on the site. Over the centuries, the fortress was enlarged and modified, acquiring its current appearance with circular towers and walled enclosures. It was the residence of kings such as Carlos II and Felipe V, and later, during Romanticism, it inspired the poet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer to write some of his famous legends.
